چکیده
The removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions using bean shells as an adsorbent is presented in this paper. influence the solution pH on biosorption capacity was investigated. increased with increase pH. pseudo-second order kinetic model showed best agreement analyzed experimental data, indicating that chemisorption could be a possible way binding to surface shells. Langmuir isotherm fitted data. SEM-EDS analysis performed before and after process. change morphology sample process evident, whereby K, Mg, Si, Ca were possibly exchanged ions. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) based Box-Behnken design (BBD) used optimize process, selected factors: pH, initial concentration, contact time. optimum conditions determined be: = 3-4, concentration 100 mg dm-3, time 10-30 minutes.

This paper focuses on intra crystalline diffusion of Ni2+ ions onto NaX and NaY zeolites. The zeolites are obtained by the hydrothermal synthesis method. The samples were characterized by several techniques: X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) coupled with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and InfraRed Spectroscopy (FT-IR). Physical parameters such as p...
متن کاملBatch Removal of Acid Blue 292dye by Biosorption onto Lemna minor: Equilibrium and Kinetic Studies
Background; Recently, there has been a great concern about the consumption of dyes because of their toxicity, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, and persistence in the aquatic environment. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the feasibility of using Lemna minor for Acid Blue 292 (AB292) dye removal from aqueous solution and to determine the optimal conditions. Methods; This experimen...
متن کاملEquilibrium and Kinetics Studies for the Adsorption of Aqueous Cu (II) ions onto Mangroves Biomass
In this study, adsorption of copper from aqueous solutions was investigated using mangrove biomass from the Kenyan Coast. The efficacy of mangrove biomass on the removal of copper (II) ions from aqueous solutions was investigated in single state in batch mode with respect to effects of initial pH, temperature, initial concentration of the metal ion, adsorbent dosage and contact time on metal io...
متن کاملEquilibrium and Kinetic Studies on Biosorption of Iron (II) and Iron (III) Ions onto Eggshell Powder from Aqueous Solution
As a consequence of modernization, industry is spread in the whole world, one of the industries that producing a wastewater as a by-product, iron and steel industry. The result is a huge amount of wastewater that contaminated with iron and steel. Biosorption techniques especially with a natural low cost adsorbent material, namely chicken eggshell is gaining an important goal for treating with a...
متن کاملAdsorption of Metallic Ions onto Chitosan: Equilibrium and Kinetic Studies
Equilibrium isotherms and the adsorption kinetics of heavy metals onto chitosan were studied experimentally. Chitosan, a biopolymer produced from crustacean shells, has applications in various areas, particularly in drinking water and wastewater treatment due to its ability to remove metallic ions from solutions. The adsorption capacity of chitosan depends on a number of parameters: deacetylati...
